So, what exactly is a root canal?
When the nerve inside a tooth becomes infected or dies, the nerve needs to be carefully removed. Once the damaged nerve has been removed, the root of the tooth is filled back and the tooth sealed. The infection has been treated and the physical structure of the tooth remains unchanged.
